Oh, now that's just disgusting. And I thought it was just the Americans and the Japanese that were pigs...nope...it's the entire freaking world. And the Russians were some of the last people I'd expect to do something like that... -sigh- Eew.

it is not offensive....it is a work of art...is it not a statue...is not a statue a form of art...although beauty is in the eye of the beholder...the term art is that of subjectivity ...hence neither you or I could be the judge for what is offensive and what is art.....in short...im for the statue lol

Yeah, beauty is in the EYE of the BEHOLDER. Not the HAND of the HOLDER. Alexi, art is meant to be looked at and enjoyed, not felt and fantasized about. Although it is true that it is "art", touching it won't give you any more "family happiness" than kissing a blarney stone will give you luck. It is just so a guy has an excuse to touch something other than his girl (or for a lonely guy to pretend he has something). And any woman who lets her man get near that statue is either really gullible, doesn't care about her man, or is just plain blond. Eeh.

Very well said Melissa. *Applause* I can appreciate art. I actually quite enjoy it. But in my opinion art is meant to be looked at, not touched. Many of the Grecian sculptures (their choice style of art) is of mostly of naked females. The reason behind it is the beauty of the sculpture and the emotion it portrays. Those sculptures are only for visual admiration. Not for "family happiness". It sickens me to hear people call their perversion "art". Mind you, this is completely my personal opinion.

Anna, do you see now why I'm a little bit sexist? Why I do believe that women should hold leadership positions. You said that women are too emotional and would be too considered with the here and now. I disagreed because men are too wrapped up in sex and they can see far ahead but only in tunnel vision. Women can branch out and see more...put things together better. This, and their reactions to it, prooves my point.
And thanks for the applause by the way.

Poor Lissa. You have the worst view of men. Not all men are like those [Russians]. Sorry Alexi. I'm not including you in that group... Unless it's fitting?

Frufru? =) I never said they were innocent. I just have more faith in them than you do. And don't you try to pull that on me. I've grown up around gamer GUYS. That COMPLETELY makes up for the lack of public high school.

Aah, I had more to say to that but I wasn't sure if you were in character or not. Since you are not I was going to say that you SHOULD know better than that BECAUSE of all the gamer guys you have been around. I don't understand you sometimes, Anna...

I keep getting on her because she has never been to public school so she doesn't know what's out there. Her excuse is that she has been around gamer guys since she was little. Gamer guys (and frankly most guys) tend to be very crude and...well, guys. I still say it isn't much compared to highschool.

You only started gaming with us last year. You haven't even met 1/5 of our gamer friends. You think you know but you really don't. Whatever. You just keep on living in your fantasy world where I'm completely cute and innocent. It just goes to show that it takes a very long time to truly know someone.
There's nothing wrong with gamers in general. I was simply saying that many of the gamer guys I've played with have tended to be a lot less discrete and a lot more colorful in their language and descriptions. Many of them tend to disregard the fact that they have a lady at the table.
Now on a positive note, I've played with some great guys. Being very gentlemanly, kind, and conscientious of the others at the table. As of recently, I've had a tendency to play more with those guys than the others. Sadly, the type I just mentioned are few and far between.

AH HA!!
Buy arguing this point about the statue...a statue that none of us have touched and only have seen as envoked an emotion ..Perhaps it has supercedded its purpose and was truly meant to gain a reaction...
like i said art is very subjective...and to what may seem art to others ..is trash some....but more importantly is that with every commernt i make..that is pro statue it gets Lissa all that much more heated lol
HAHA
