All right folks, let's try and keep this organized and constructive. If you see a mistake in the book that could cause actual confusion, post it here and I will correct it officially. Here's a few typos I already found:

Page 135: Under Identity Items

A Fake Driver's License was left off the list. It is equal to a fake passport, but the Purchase DC is only 12. Other fake ID items should be available to the PC's, the GM can make up prices based on what the characters want and how close they are to the ID's that are listed.

Page 139: Under Handguns

The Colt Python (.357 Revolver) should cost 15 Wealth, not 5. This is a typo.

Page 273: Under "The Lobsters Escape" FOR GMS ONLY

In the description under "Old Stadium Parking Lot, 3AM" there is a sentence after the description of Frankie waiting for the characters that says, "There will be one in the stolen car if the PC's ask." This sentence should be in parenthesis after Frankie's quote. It was moved by mistake.

On the list of skills I, for some reason, left out Bluff (Cha). This should be a skill open to all clases in the game.

Okay, I'm finding lots ot stat typos. Mostly modifiers that are incorrect. Rather than go through with each one, assume that the ability score is correct and the modifier is wrong. Always correct the modifier.

Most of you probably already know this one. On page 139 it lists the glocks as "Glock 201" and "Glock 171", the extra 1 is for the note at the bottom of the page, it is not a different serial number. The 1 should be in subscript.

Under the Weakness "Dysfunctional Family Life".

The book sez:

"You can automatically make the check by sacrificing one permanent point of Wealth to your biological family or by successfully using the feat Exploit Weakness against them."

It should say:

"You can automatically make the check by sacrificing one Wealth point (subtract directly from your current number) to your biological family or by successfully using the Exploit skill against them."

This should clear up any potential confusion. Originally, "Exploit" was going to be a feat called "Exploit Weakness", but I decided it would be a better skill. Also, I originally had a concept of "permanent" and "temperary" Wealth points, but the math was too complicated, so I ditched it. Some of the original terminology got left in during the final edit.

In the Gear tables, the start of a group of items is nicely indicated by the italicized line. However, there's no indication of where the end of the group is (such as indent, etc.).

Ok, finally got back to this!

Best: Crewed Vehicle table, page 182

Catagories are clearly delimited by extra white space between them as well as the eye catching italic catagory name.

OK: Vehicle table, page 183

Extra white space, but no italics. Without the italics, your eye tries to glide right down the column. Even the extra white space below the catagory name doesn't help break it up visually.

Error: Bell Model 212 has a speed of (2. I assume there's supposed to be another digit and a close parenthesis there.

Hard to read: General Equipment table, page 123-124

Example, Handcuffs. Although the catagory name, Handcuffs, is italicized, there is no extra white space around it, nor is there white space at the end of the catagory above the musical instruments following. This one is obvious where the catagory ends, but some of the others in this chart are a bit confusing. Either white space at the end or indentation of the items in the catagory would be nice. Just not as nice as the other charts, and this must be one of the most consulted charts during character creation!

Error: Fake Drivers License is listed as size "Fine." Huh? One other item is listed as size Diminutive. Is this supposed to be Tiny or indicate "smaller than tiny"?

Clarification: Pistols and rifles are listed as Restricted here and as Licensed in the chart on page 138.

Other notes:

Clarification, page 135: In most states, to buy tobacco, you need to show ID proving age 18 until you're clearly over 30, unless you're on an Indian reservation, where all state rules are ignorable. Although this isn't as restrictive as "License" required, it's not unrestricted either. However, since alcohol is "License," tobacco probably should be too. State/county id cards are also acceptable in lieu of license.

The number in parenthesis should be (20).

For this, you must forgive Jimmy Grammar, it must've been very difficult to finish up that chart with me hoverin' over him with a baseball bat. I was very insistent that we not miss anymore deadlines. Jimmy's predecessor met with an unfortunate accident. His lateness greatly upset me.

I believe he's trying to say "Fine" as in "very fine grains of sand" or something very small, but I agree that "tiny" would be better.

That refers to a type of suppressor, not the actual gun.

Since only children would be denied tobacco, I decided that the modifier was so small as to be less than "1". PC wiseguys that begin at 16 or 17 probably will have no problem obtaining smokes. That being said, the modifiers on all the other restricted and illegal items would have to be modified for someone that young as well. In general, it depends on the area and whether the PC looks older or younger than he is. I would add +1 modifier for each year the PC is below 18, except for illegal items, because Complete Mafia characters get a bonus, rather than a penalty.\

Good eye, A. Jimmy Grammar will be proud if he ever turns up.

Silly me thought Jimmy had rushed the job so he could yell "It's done!" and run like heck out the back door while you were taking a leak so as to avoid any bat accidents...

So Jimmy had a little accident too?

In the combat section, under "Attacking an object", it lists all the different sizes and gives examples on the "Object Defense and Bonuses to Attack" table (pg 169). The example for Tiny is a laptop computer, Diminutive is a paperback book, and Fine is a pencil.
Given those examples, "Fine" for anything card-sized sounds reasonable (unless your talking about them oversized playing cards and such).

Ahah! Thanks for clearing that up, Paulie!

Just wanted to give you a heads up, after reading the subway Word document... Easy enough to fix, didn't know if you wanted to take care of them.

Under the Green Line description,

Should read

And under Running Times,

Quote:

Just something I noticed while reading.

Also, this document would be easy enough to turn into a PDF file. Did you want me to give that a go, cut out the zip and streamline the document?[/b]
