Addiction: Painkillers

I know several people who have that. And if you ever go to a doc and he gives you a buch of painkillers without any rehab, you got to watch out and make that Fort save dc 10, or get addicted.

As a subset of Drug Addiction or as a less version of that. For the next d20 book, I think I will have to outline the effects of drugs on PC's. I did that for my old D&D campaign. Short term positive effects and long term bad ones.

Addict: Speed (Will)

You like to go fast no matter what vehicle you're in. The faster the better. If you fail your save, you'll either pester the driver to go faster or (more likely) if you're driving, you'll see just how fast that thing will go even if it'll draw the Cops attention to your stolen ride.


Alternative Lifestyle (Int/Will)

You enjoy a lifestyle that is very personal and would cause you to be ridiculed and/or lose a LOT of respect should its nature be revealed or discovered. This could be homosexuality, "love" of animals, cross-dressing, plushophilia, etc. Whenever you are out on the streets and are near something related to your lifestyle, make a Will save, failure means that you will do what you can to acquire that item or a similar item to fulfill your lifestyle desires. When in the privacy of your own home, make an Int save to prevent others that are visiting from learning of your lifestyle.

Talks in Sleep

Obviously not something you want to do when you've done various illegal things and have a mistress on the side. As well as the women in your life finding out more than they should, if the party should end up out of town sharing hotel rooms, the roommate could find out things you don't want him knowing!

This should have a range of values from mumbles names or words up to holds complete conversations while asleep.

If you have both this and Heavy Sleeper, you will never wake up while someone is pumping you for information and you will not remember anything in the morning, even as a dream!

I'm not sure what you'd save against, since your conscious mind is turned off at the time. Maybe fail a Dex check to be incomprehensible?

Should people with this weakness be allowed to buy it off with Sleep With One Eye Open?

Shopaholic: If you see it for sale, you have to have it.

If you have it really bad, you will compulsively buy things that cost more than you have, with obvious effects on the Wealth score.

This could be interesting combined with Bargain Hunter!

Heavy Sleeper:

If you're asleep, you're asleep. You will sleep through gunshots, wife in labor, house on fire, etc.

People with this Weakness can't take Sleep with One Eye Open.

If you have both this and Talks in Sleep, you will never wake up while someone is pumping you for information and you will not remember anything in the morning, even as a dream!
