This week I want to bring light to my current crush...Crush.

Gina Carano is on that new spandex clad American Gladiators and I'm hooked. She's a mixed martial arts fighter specializing in Muay Thai and manages to look hot while bashing people with a pugel stick. She is undefeated in the Joust.

Sure it is cheese TV, but I loved it when I was a kid and it brought me back to this remake. Crush just makes it better.

I'm sorta digging the new American Gladiators, though I'm opposed on principle to more reality TV because it allows the studios to ride out the writers' strike just a little bit longer.

Crush is pretty hot. She's a hardbody who still retains her femininity, which is rare and beautiful thing.

Is it just me, though, or does this American Gladiators seem a little staged? I've watched a few competitions where it looked like either the contestants or the Glad's threw the match.

Staged?! Next you'll tell me professional wrestling is staged! Or that reality shows are orchestrated!

The horrible smack talk is probably coached. Considering the number of injuries already, I wouldn't say too many things are staged.

The thing that does make it look rigged is the new Eliminator. The treadmills at the end are destroying people. But I think who ever designed it this time just watched a bunch of ninja warrior and made it really hard.

The matches on the old show look like that too -- they'd be going full force, then suddenly lose balance and fall (or whatever). But that's the way muscles work -- lactic acid builds up and the muscle just gives.

Yes, the smack talk is ridiculous.

Does anyone else think Hellga uses steroids? Hubby claims she's just a competition deadlifter. I think she looks like the East German shot-putters that started the whole steroid scandal.

Wikipedia had this to say about her:

Robin Coleman is a figure competitor, rower, professional strongwoman, actress, model, and former female bodybuilder. In 1997, after 1½ years of serious training, she competed in her first bodybuilding competition, California's Border States, placing first in the novice and second in the open heavyweight division.

Robin competed in the inaugural World's Strongest Woman in Zambia, Africa in 2001, where she placed third. In 2006, she began competing in figure at the Tournament of Champions, held in Anaheim.

Coleman has also trained in boxing, mixed martial arts, and pro wrestling. She has trained with Tom Magee, a former World's Strongest Man competitor, Sammy "The Toy" Stewart, Ric "The Equalizer" Drasin, Gokor, and Robert Sherman, a former bodybuilder turned guru.

Robin is also a competitive rower, with affiliations with Lions Rowing Club and California Yacht Club, both in Marina del Rey. She rows in club 8s and 4s, and Quad, Double, and single sculls. Her single shell is named the 'Equanimity'.

Coleman appears as the gladiator Hellga on 2008 American Gladiators revival.[1]

Originally from Texas, Robin stands 6'1" tall, and was born on March 30
