Last night I was half full of whiskey and stumbled into Dennys. I open the menu and see their newest grease sculpture. I survived the experience and now I must retell it to you.
Dennys now serves the Slam Burger.
Take one normally mediocre hamburger add some cheese sauce. Then top it with an egg prepared anyway you want, although I think they reommend sunny side up. They aren't finished yet, you have to add the hashbrowns. Yup, take a cheeseburger and add a greasy breakfast plate. After all that you get a side of fries with it!
The menu said it was only available on the late night menu, which is smart. I doubt anyone who wasn't tore down to the floor would order one.
I was halfway to shitfaced, but it tasted pretty good. At least I vaguely remember it tasting good.
Dennys this week I salute you and your Slam Burger, you magnificent bastards.

"Slam" as in "Slamming into your colon!"

I seem to recall back when I lived in the South that restaurants were fond of serving (and SOBER patrons were fond of eating) burgers'n'eggs like that.
It wasn't bad, actually.
Better than brains and eggs; a 'delicacy' found on local spoons' menus.
*shudder*
